DEVELOPMENT SNAPSHOT #16
When you guide a nation, three questions rise above the map: how will you strengthen it within, face the countries beyond its borders, and invest in technologies not yet known? Today we introduce the actual icons that open domestic affairs, diplomacy, and research.
Domestic affairs is the doorway to budgets, supply, and the condition of the nation. Decisions accumulated away from the battlefield shape how long the country can endure.

The diplomacy screen leads to relations and diplomatic choices. The same neighbor can look very different when friendship, suspicion, and interest cross.

Research turns a present limitation into a future possibility. Where you invest time will help distinguish the nation that emerges later.
The implementation loads these images into the game's management UI. Diplomacy has a dedicated navigation screen, while the domestic layer includes hit targets and display paths for its sections, including diplomacy. The deeper connections among management functions, including research, remain an area for continued development.
A menu is more than a shortcut: it is a compass for choosing what to think about next. Which of these three icons will you press first? That small choice can begin a different story for the same nation.
