DEVELOPMENT SNAPSHOT #14
Quiet administration calls for patience; a moving border calls for speed. Ashwind Chronicle lets you choose from five rates of time. Today we look at the actual button assets behind the small control that turns tempo itself into a strategic choice.
Read every half-step — Speed 1
The slowest setting advances 0.5 game hours per real second. It suits moments when you want to study construction, transport, population, and units before committing to the next move.

Catch the flow — Speed 3

The middle setting advances six hours per second: quick enough to reveal change, but measured enough to keep the rhythm of government readable.
Race through history — Speed 5

The highest setting advances 24 hours per second. When a long plan is in motion, the calendar surges toward its result.
Five speeds, one living world
The five implemented rates are 0.5, 1, 6, 12, and 24 game hours per real second. A gold outline identifies the active button while inactive choices are dimmed. The selector can also be dragged, with its position constrained to remain inside the game window.
The point is not simply to move faster. It is to let players choose when to think and when to watch history unfold. We will keep refining that feeling of holding a nation's clock in your hands.
