DEVELOPMENT SNAPSHOT #28
A grain of wheat does more than feed a household. Combined with vegetables, it becomes feed; feed supports livestock; livestock brings meat to the table. Three resource cards reveal a compact production chain.

Eat it now, or send it onward — Wheat
Wheat is resource ID 8. It requires 0.2 water and can be stockpiled as a Basic Food resource. It is also a fixed input for feed. A small grain creates a strategic choice between immediate demand and the next step in production.
The bridge from field to pasture — Feed

Feed is resource ID 404. It combines 0.25 wheat with 0.1 vegetables into a stockpileable production material, linking two kinds of farming to the next food chain.
From pasture to table — Meat

Meat is resource ID 10. It uses 0.3 water and 0.4 feed to support Diverse Food demand. It cannot be stockpiled by itself, making continuous supply especially important.

One shortage can shake the whole chain
Without water, wheat cannot grow. Without wheat and vegetables, feed cannot be made. Without feed, meat does not reach the table. One everyday resource carries the work of several regions and facilities behind it.
Set three cards side by side and a story of national logistics appears. Prosperity is not only the amount in storage; it is also the design that keeps resources moving.
