DEVELOPMENT SNAPSHOT #32
Different wings create different jobs in the sky: a scout that reads the wind, a feather-sail transport carrying cargo, and an insect-wing liaison linking the frontline. Three implemented aircraft reveal Ashwind Chronicle's emerging air routes.

Drawing the first road across a roadless sky
The Wind-Reader Scout is a Tier 2 aircraft with light sail-wings. With speed 18 and reliability 90, it flies ahead of transports to read invisible currents and spore layers. It does not seek a battle; it finds a sky the following aircraft can cross.
Express cargo on feather sails — Feather-Sail Transport

The Feather-Sail Transport reaches speed 21 with reliability 90 and room for four crew or passengers. Its light cargo bay links docks with small, urgent shipments.
Living wings link the front — Insect-Wing Liaison

The Insect-Wing Liaison is the fastest of the trio at 24. With reliability 88 and room for two, it carries couriers and small medical or communications loads to the frontline.

The fastest aircraft cannot build an air route alone
Reconnaissance, transport, liaison: all three are Tier 2, but their purposes do not overlap. One finds danger first, one carries cargo, and one delivers urgent people and supplies. Together they turn empty sky into a working network.
Wood-and-cloth wings, feather-like sails, and wings inspired by living insects also reveal the technology each civilization chooses. Their silhouettes tell part of the world's story before the numbers do.
