Midnight is where the game clock and the simulation meet. If a daily calculation is still running while the display sits at 00:00, the game can look frozen. If a gear keeps turning, it can suggest that ordinary time is advancing. Neither signal tells the player what is actually happening.
First, look at the boundary on the real screen. These captures come from the latest Debug build: December 1 at 12 AM, the same calendar at 12 PM, and a close view of the clock panel. Both full-screen captures are paused reference views, not screenshots of the calculation-progress state. They show where and how the date and time are presented.

Make the wait legible.
When the game clock is held at a day boundary for the daily economy calculation, the calendar gear now stops and the status area shows a localized processing message with its progress percentage. This does not make the simulation calculation instantaneous; it makes the reason for the pause visible instead of relying on motion alone.
A few quieter changes help the boundary behave consistently. Hourly construction progress is excluded from the daily-input signature, so a value that changes every hour does not by itself make the whole daily calculation input appear new. Relevant changes such as assignments are still checked. A queued training plan also skips date boundaries that passed before the plan was queued, rather than trying to rewind into a day when it did not exist. The calculation worker can change priority as well, keeping the interface from waiting behind a heavy calculation lock.
These behaviors are in the current development build. The screenshots intentionally show the paused clock for context; they do not depict the processing overlay itself.
See the Ashwind Chronicle download page for the game. The Japanese version is here.
